Clem was awarded a Career Development Award (CDA) from Wellcome!

Wellcome is a global charitable foundation that funds research across a broad range of disciplines to understand life, health and wellbeing and to deliver equitable health solutions.

Clem has received a CDA for a project entitled "Translational regulation of cerebral cortex wiring". This long-term funding will start in September 2025 and will support the development of our independent research programme and the recruitment of team members. We will study how major processes that coordinate translation are regulated in neuronal cell types and the impact of these mechanisms on cortical circuits development and function.
