I am a Group Leader and Lecturer in Neuroscience in the Department of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Exeter.
I studied biology as an undergrad in Paris, London and Brittany. I received a PhD (2014) in Neurobiology from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie for my work in the lab of Alain Prochiantz on how early experiences sculpt brain development and learning. I then crossed the Channel to join the labs of Oscar Marín and Beatriz Rico (King's College London) as a postdoc to investigate the mechanisms underlying interneuron wiring.
I moved to Exeter in late 2023 to start my own research group. My research interests lie in understanding the molecular bases of the specificity of neuronal wiring during brain development and miswiring in neurodevelopmental disorders, with a focus on post-transcriptional regulation. My research is currently supported by grants from Wellcome and the British Council.
Outside the lab, I enjoy taking part in amdram productions. When I'm not rehearsing a play, my evenings are a constant negotiation between practising the piano and the drums, and reading a book. The book wins, almost every time.
